💬 [です] is the polite sentence ending for saying what something is: [学生です] (I'm a student), [日本人です] (I'm Japanese). It often just sits at the end after the key information, as in a name: [田中です] (I'm Tanaka).

💬 [よろしく] on its own doesn't literally mean "well" here; in introductions it's part of a set phrase asking for a good relationship. You'll also hear it in casual situations like [またよろしく] (let's keep in touch / thanks again).

💬 [お願いします] is a very common polite way to ask for something, not just "please" in a general sense. You can reuse it with nouns: [コーヒーお願いします] (Coffee, please).

🇯🇵 [よろしくお願いします。] is a standard line in self-introductions, and the real meaning is closer to "I hope we'll get along" than a direct request. It sounds natural in work, class, clubs, and first meetings.

💬 The [お] at the start makes [なまえ] more polite: [おなまえ]. You'll see this with other everyday words too, like [おしごと] (work/job) and [おでんわ] (phone call).

💬 [なん] and [なに] both mean "what," but before [です] or [ですか], Japanese usually uses [なん]: [なんですか] (what is it?). Compare [なにをしますか] (what do you do?), where [なに] is followed by [を].

💬 [か] makes a sentence a question, so [ですか] is a very common polite ending: [学生ですか] (Are you a student?). In careful speech, the [す] in [です] is often very light or barely heard.
